Bhutan conducted a transparent, external evaluation of its ability to find, stop and prevent health threats on December 11, 2017. The results show Bhutan  has some functioning systems in place should an infectious disease start to spread. However, there is room for improvement and lives could be lost if a new health threat emerges.
