Application details

We provide training for teams of up to six mid-to senior-level managers in government from diverse sectors and disciplines, capable of providing robust support to preparedness initiatives. Teams have the option to include 1-2 participants from their WHO Country Office, World Bank Project Implementation Unit (PIU) or Global Fund Principal Recipient Project Management Unit (PMU) for a total of 5-7 participants. Application is by invitation only. Countries invited to apply are from the African or Eastern Mediterranean Regions and are confirmed or potential recipients of pandemic preparedness and response (PPR) funding mechanisms.

Countries that express intent to establish a National Action Plan for Health Security (NAPHS) secretariat, coordination team, or equivalent structure have a stronger case for acceptance into the program. The inclusion of women leaders and members of other underrepresented groups is encouraged.

RTSL covers costs related to the training, including travel, visa, accommodation and per diem allowance. Payment for attending the training is not provided.
