Making Masks Count During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Promoting mask use is one of the key interventions governments, communities, businesses, and other organizations can implement to control COVID-19.

Our new report, “Promoting mask-wearing during the COVID-19 pandemic: a policymaker’s guide,” synthesizes global evidence on how masks prevent virus transmission and slow community spread, and identifies best practices for mask design and use. The playbook also provides tools for public health officials and leaders to take a data-and research-driven approach to promoting mask-wearing, including conducting formative research, considering masking mandates, running focused media campaigns, and engaging with communities.

Resolve to Save Lives is making these embargoed resources available to partner organizations in advance of their official launch on August 27, 2020.

Final versions will be posted at 11:15 AM ET.
