What is Ebola Virus Disease (EVD)?

EVD (commonly known as Ebola), is caused by viruses within the genus Ebolavirus. It’s a rare but deadly disease that causes bleeding and organ failure.

COVID-19, caused by the respiratory coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID), is a disease characterized by various symptoms that can include fever and shortness of breath.

Needed: Gown, googles or face shield (for eye protection), surgical mask, respirator (when dealing with aerosol-generating procedures (AGPs))

0.05%: Use for soiled linen management only AFTER cleaning. Soak linen for 15-30 minutes. Also use for hands if ABHR or soap and water are not available.

0.1%: Use for routine surface cleaning.

0.5%: Use for blood or bodily fluids only AFTER cleaning.

If hands are visibly soiled, wash with soap and water for 40-60 seconds.
If hands are not visibly soiled, use Alcohol-Based Handrub (ABHR) for 20-30 seconds.
